I took a boat tour of Assateague Island on Daisey Island Cruises. This is the best way to see and photograph the Chincoteague Ponies. Fantastic for photographers. Allows you to get close to the horses and eagles. Saw lots of birds and other wildlife. I photographed the Assateague Lighthouse, the Chincoteague Ponies with their foals and Oystercatchers.   The horses were more active than usual. I photographed them on the run and going in the water. The captain of the boat said seeing this active is rare. I got to photograph several Bald Eagles. I took photographs of them in the trees along the shore and in flight.
