Butterflies are ephemeral and almost magical the way they look, fly and undergo their metamorphosis. They are fantastic subjects for photographs, especially against the backdrop of flowers. I photographed all these butterflies in Westchester County, New York where I live. Most were photographed in Rockefeller Park Preserve in Sleepy Hollow.
