Do Ducks Eat Frogs?

Do ducks eat frogs? Apparently ducks do eat frogs as my photograph of a pair of Wood Ducks shows. Ducks are opportunistic and are very adaptive. Besides the vegetation that we usually see them eating, they will also eat fish and insects. I have observed them eating fish, insects and frogs in addition to vegetation. They will also eat bread. But please don’t feed any birds bread. It’s not good for them. Bread can get moldy and mold can harm birds.

Most of the Wood Ducks I photographed are from the Rockefeller Preserve in Westchester County New York. For more photos of Wood Ducks follow this link to my Wood Duck Gallery
